Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh unveiled a commemorative coin to mark the platinum jubilee of the Central Silk Board. The event celebrated 75 years of the Board’s contributions to the Indian silk industry, highlighting its role in promoting silk production, innovation, and boosting rural employment. Speaking at the ceremony, Giriraj Singh praised the Board’s efforts in making India one of the largest producers of silk globally. He also emphasized the government's continued support for enhancing silk production and exports. The coin symbolizes the achievements and future aspirations of the silk sector in India.


      Giriraj Singh highlighted the Central Silk Board’s role in empowering women through sericulture training and opportunities.

      The minister announced new initiatives to modernize silk farming, aiming to increase productivity and income for farmers.
