CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General) of India Assumes Chairmanship of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) for the 2024-27 Term.

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India has taken over as the Chair of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) for the 2024-27 term. This significant appointment was announced during the 15th ASOSAI Assembly held in New Delhi, where representatives from various member countries gathered to discuss strategies for enhancing public sector auditing. The CAG emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to promote transparency and accountability in government operations across Asia. Under India's leadership, ASOSAI aims to strengthen cooperation among member states and enhance the capacity of supreme audit institutions in the region.


      Strengthening regional cooperation among audit institutions will enhance governance and promote best practices in financial management across Asia.

      The CAG's leadership role is expected to drive initiatives focused on capacity building and knowledge sharing among member countries.
