Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh has been appointed as the next Chief of the Indian Air Force (IAF), succeeding Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Defence and is set to take effect on September 30, 2024. Air Marshal Singh, a distinguished fighter pilot, has held various key positions during his service, including Deputy Chief of the Air Staff and Director General of the IAF's Air Operations. His extensive experience and leadership qualities are expected to guide the IAF in its strategic initiatives and modernization efforts in the coming years.
