The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Anurag Garg as the new Director General (DG) of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Garg, a seasoned officer with extensive experience in law enforcement and anti-narcotics operations, will take over the role amidst increasing challenges related to drug trafficking and abuse in India. His appointment is expected to strengthen the NCB's efforts in combating drug-related crimes and enhancing coordination with international agencies. Garg's leadership will be pivotal in implementing new strategies to tackle the evolving drug landscape and ensuring effective enforcement of narcotics laws.
