National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Kumar Doval visited Colombo to participate in the signing of the founding documents of the Colombo Security Conclave. The conclave is a trilateral initiative involving India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives, aimed at enhancing maritime security and fostering regional cooperation. Doval's visit underscores India's commitment to strengthening ties with its neighbors in the Indian Ocean region. The Colombo Security Conclave focuses on combating common challenges such as terrorism, drug trafficking, and cyber threats. This signing marks a significant step in formalizing the cooperation among these nations.


      The Colombo Security Conclave was initiated in 2011, focusing on regional maritime cooperation and security.

      Mauritius and Seychelles have been invited to join the conclave as observers, expanding the security dialogue.
