The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has constituted a five-member committee to monitor and oversee the India-Bangladesh border. This decision aims to enhance border security and ensure effective management of the frontier. The committee will be responsible for assessing current border conditions, addressing security concerns, and recommending measures to improve surveillance and coordination between the two countries. This initiative underscores the commitment of the Indian government to maintaining a secure and well-managed border environment. The committee's formation is expected to bolster efforts in preventing illegal activities and fostering better bilateral relations.


      The committee will coordinate with local authorities to streamline border management and enhance security measures.

      It will address cross-border issues, including illegal migration and smuggling, through improved monitoring and response strategies.
