ISLRTC and AWES Sign MoU to Promote Indian Sign Language.

MOUs and Agreement

The Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre (ISLRTC) and the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote Indian Sign Language. This collaboration aims to integrate Indian Sign Language into the educational framework of Army schools across India, enhancing accessibility and inclusivity for students with hearing impairments. The MoU focuses on training teachers in Indian Sign Language, developing curriculum resources, and raising awareness about the importance of sign language in education. This partnership represents a significant step towards creating an inclusive learning environment in Army schools.


      This MoU will also facilitate research and development in Indian Sign Language education across Army schools.

      The partnership aims to include Indian Sign Language as an optional subject in the Army schools' curriculum.
