MOUs and Agreement

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) to establish three advanced testing facilities in Uttar Pradesh. These facilities will be crucial in testing and evaluating various defense-related equipment and technologies. The collaboration aims to enhance the defense capabilities of the country by providing state-of-the-art infrastructure for research and development. The new facilities will be located along the state's expressways, ensuring easy access and logistics for defense personnel and organizations involved in testing and development activities.

These facilities will boost local industry by fostering collaboration between defense organizations and regional manufacturers.

The initiative aligns with the government's 'Make in India' campaign, promoting indigenous defense production.
