Sports

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has selected the French Alps to host the 2030 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. This marks a significant return to France for the Winter Games, which were last held in Albertville in 1992. Additionally, Salt Lake City, Utah, has been chosen to host the 2034 edition, bringing the Winter Games back to the United States after a gap of 32 years since the 2002 Salt Lake City Games. These selections reflect the IOC's commitment to leveraging existing infrastructure and promoting sustainability in Olympic venues.

French Alps' selection boosts local tourism and winter sports economy.

Salt Lake City aims to build on 2002 Games' legacy.
