Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar's Inaugural Visit to Mauritius Strengthens Bilateral Ties.

Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, on his inaugural visit to Mauritius on 16 and 17 July 2024, took part in the talks held there to strengthen bilateral relations. In this meeting they discussed measures to increase cooperation in various fields between India and Mauritius. The visit was attended by Prime Minister H.E. This follows the visit of Shri Pravind Jugnauth to India from 09-11 June 2024, in which he participated in the swearing-in ceremony of the new government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dr. Jaishankar last visited Mauritius in February 2021.


      Dr. Jaishankar’s visit reaffirms India-Mauritius bilateral ties and follows a recent visit by Mauritius’ Prime Minister.

      The visit aims to strengthen diplomatic relations and enhance cooperation between India and Mauritius in various sectors.
