National

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) extended the licence of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. The total duration of the licence of the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport is five years now. Meanwhile, he also spoke on the issue of the declining number of tourists in the city and referred to it as a misleading fact. Speaking on the issue of decreased passengers, he asserted, "There has been a misleading advertisement about decreased numbers of passengers. Before the elections, we were operating almost 14-15 flights and the number is the same after the results too. The number of passengers hasn't decreased. Although there is little decrease due to the scorching heat we hope that number will get revived after the elections."

Airport Director Vinod Kumar has expressed gratitude to the DCGA authorities for extending the licence of the airport.
