Japan unveils first-ever 6G device 20 times faster than 5G.

Science and Technology

A Japanese consortium of four leading telecommunications companies – DOCOMO, NEC Corporation, NTT Corporation and Fujitsu – collaborated to create the prototype. After extensive testing, they discovered that the prototype device could achieve such high speeds using the 100 gigahertz (GHz) and 300 GHz wireless bands. They conducted the tests at an exact distance of 328 feet (100 meters) from the transmitter. It can transmit data wirelessly at 100 gigabits per second (Gbps) over distances of over 300 feet.
