DoT organises Telecom Design Collaboration Sprint to drive deep-tech innovation in telecom sector.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) organised the first-of-its-kind Telecom Design Collaboration Sprint to foster deep-tech innovation among startups and academic institutions, a PIB press release stated. Through this initiative, DoT aims to drive the growth of the digital ecosystem by facilitating collaboration and innovation among a range of stakeholders. The event, which was held in Bangalore, brought together 15 leading startups, MSMEs, and academic institutions including IIT Madras, C-DOT, and IIT Delhi.


      It was the first-of-its-kind initiative by DoT to foster deep-tech innovation among startups and academic institutions in the telecommunications sector. The goal is to drive growth of the digital ecosystem by facilitating collaboration and innovation among various stakeholders like startups, MSMEs, and academic institutes.

      The event was held in Bangalore and brought together 15 leading entities including startups, MSMEs, IIT Madras, C-DOT (Centre for Development of Telematics), and IIT Delhi.

      By enabling this cross-pollination of ideas and expertise across industry and academia, DoT aims to spur development of cutting-edge telecommunications technologies and solutions.
