The Indian economy could grow faster than 7% in this financial year 2024-2025, the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) projected in its monthly economic review. The International Monetary Fund, earlier this month, raised India's 2024-25 growth forecast to 6.8% from 6.5% projected earlier. According to government data, the economy grew 7.6% in FY24. In its quarterly India's Economic Outlook report, Deloitte India also raised the FY24 GDP growth prediction to 7.6-7.8 percent from 6.9-7.2 percent in its January report. For FY26, Deloitte has predicted India's GDP to grow at 6.75 percent on the back of rate cuts.
