Indian-American actress Avantika Vandanapu was named the South Asian Person of the Year by Harvard University.

Indian-American actress Avantika Vandanapu was named the South Asian Person of the Year by Harvard University. She was recognised for her outstanding achievements and impact on both the international and Indian entertainment industries. In 2014, Avantika won second place in Dance India Dance L'il Masters (North America Edition). The subsequent year she entered the Telugu film industry. She officially debuted as a child artist in Brahmotsavam.


      Avantika Vandanapu, known mononymously as Avantika, is an American actress.

      She has worked in several Indian films in the Telugu language.

      She had her first lead role Disney Channel original movie Spin and subsequently starred in Netflix’s Senior Year.
