Obituary

Writer and former chairman of Karnataka Sahithya Academy Prof Dr Gurulinga Kapse passed away. Born in BK Loni village of Indi taluk in Vijayapura district, Kapse had written a thesis on the life and works of litterateur Madhurachanna. He has also written on philosophy, spirituality and Kannada prose and poetry besides editing several felicitation volumes. Kapse, who served as the professor of Kannada at Karnatak College in Dharwad, was honoured with Karnataka Sahitya Academy and Nataka Academy awards. He has served as chairman of Karnataka Sahithya Academy.
