India’s Sathiyan Gnanasekaran beat compatriot Manav Thakkar in the final to win the men’s singles title at the WTT Feeder Beirut 2024 table tennis tournament at the Al Kawthar Secondary School in Lebanon. Sathiyan thus became the first-ever Indian to win a men's singles title at a WTT Feeder Series event. It was also his first singles title since the 2021 Czech International Open. Diya Chitale and Manush Shah, meanwhile, also came trumps in an all-Indian mixed doubles final. World No. 103 G Sathiyan, seeded 11th in the tournament, defeated world No. 74 and ninth seed Thakkar 3-1 (6-11, 11-7, 11-7, 11-4). Similarly, Manav Thakkar beat former World Championships bronze medallist AN Jaehyun of the Republic of Korea in straight games 3-0 (11-9, 11-8, 12-10) to make the final.
