The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has released guidelines for establishing green hydrogen hubs as part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM). The MNRE and the designated scheme implementing agencies will be responsible for these hydrogen hubs. The scheme comes with a budgetary allocation of Rs 200 crore, exclusively for developing core infrastructure for common services and facilities. The MNRE underlines that the envisaged Hydrogen hubs should boast a planned capacity of at least 1,00,000 Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA), with higher production capacities receiving precedence.
