The National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur and Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine (DTAM) of the Ministry of Public Health of the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand signed a MoU to establish an Academic Collaboration in Ayurveda and Thai Traditional Medicine.

MOUs and Agreement

The National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur and Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine (DTAM) of the Ministry of Public Health of the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand signed a MoU to establish an Academic Collaboration in Ayurveda and Thai Traditional Medicine. The signing ceremony took place during the 10th India-Thailand Joint Commission Meeting held at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. The MoU, signed by B.K Singh, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, and Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin, Director General of the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, Thailand. This collaboration is based on principles of equality and mutual benefit for both parties. Under this agreement, the two institutions will facilitate the exchange of experts for research and training programs. The focus will be on sharing information, technologies, and best practices related to Traditional Medicine.


      Both the NIA and the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine will also share information on regulatory mechanisms, best practices, guidelines, and courses of study and training.

      The MoU includes organize conferences and meetings alternately in India and Thailand to review the progress and evaluate the results of collaborative programs.
