Tuvalu’s former Attorney-General Feleti Teo was appointed as 14th prime minister of Tuvalu, as Pacific Island nation in South Pacific Region. Teo was the only nominee after the previous prime minister, Kausea Natano, lost his seat at the January 26 election. Teo, who was educated in New Zealand and Australia, was Tuvalu’s first attorney general and has decades of experience as a senior official in the fisheries industry – the region’s biggest revenue earner. Feleti Penitala Teo OBE MP is a Tuvaluan politician and lawyer. He was elected to the Parliament of Tuvalu in the 2024 Tuvaluan general election, with his previous role being the executive director of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission.


      Tuvalu is made up of tiny atolls in the Pacific Ocean and is home to around 11,000 people.
