Malta has joined the International Solar Alliance (ISA), becoming the 119th country to be part of this intergovernmental organization. This collaboration aims to enhance cooperation among solar resource-rich countries, promote the deployment of solar energy, and facilitate the achievement of global sustainable development goals. Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ministry, Malta, Christopher Cutajar signed the ISA Framework Agreement in the presence of Head of Depository and Joint Secretary (Economic Diplomacy), Abhishek Singh in New Delhi.


      On November 30, 2015 during the COP-21 of the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties in Paris the International Solar Alliance (ISA) was announced by PM Modi and former French President Hollande.
