Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar, marking his seventh visit to the UAE and second to Qatar since assuming office in 2014. In his departure statement, PM Modi underscored the substantial growth in cooperation between India and the UAE over the past nine years, covering diverse sectors such as trade, investment, defence, security, food and energy security, and education. PM Modi inaugurated the first Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, UAE, organized by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, symbolizing the deepening cultural bonds between the two countries. Additionally, he also addressed global leaders at the World Government Summit in Dubai, upon an invitation extended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Defense Minister of the UAE.


      The Prime Minister’s visit underscores the strategic importance of the UAE and Qatar in India’s foreign policy.

      PM Modi addressed the gathering of world leaders at the World Government Summit in Dubai on 14 Feb 2024.

      PM Modi also addressed the Indian diaspora in the Emirates of the UAE at the 'Alhan Modi' event.
