Arunachal Pradesh has become the first state in the North-East India and 10th in the country to achieve 100 percent saturation of Har Ghar Jal under Jal Jeevan Mission. The Centre’s Rs396541.22 lakh and State’s Rs 45551.18 lakh ensured that every household in the state has clean and safe piped water. The mission aims at improving the ‘quality of life’ and enhanced ‘ease of living’ in rural areas by making a provision of assured tap water supply to every rural household in the country by 2024.


      Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the ‘Jal Jeevan Mission - Har Ghar Jal’ on 15th August, 2019.

      Jal Jeevan Mission is being implemented in partnership with States.
