February 13th is celebrated as National Women's Day in India, in honour of Sarojini Naidu, known as 'The Nightingale of India'. 13th February 2024 marks the 145th birth anniversary of Sarojini Naidu. She was born on the 13th February 1879 in Hyderabad. Sarojni Naidu was well known as the “Nightingale of India” or “Bharat Kokila”. This title was given to her by Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation. National Women’s Day will empower, encourage women and recognises their contribution to society.


      13th February 2024 marks the 145th birth anniversary of Sarojini Naidu.

      Sarojini Naidu was a revolutionary leader, politician as well as a poet. National Women’s Day is observed on 13th Feb in remembrance of Sarojini Naidu’s achievements.
