FSSAI(Food Safety and Standards Authority of India ) Launches Special Category To Promote Gender Equality In Food Business

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has launched a new provision called "Special Category" in its online Food Safety Compliance System (FoSCoS) portal. This new category is designed to promote gender equality and equal opportunities for women and transgender entrepreneurs in the food business sector. Under the special category, licensing and registration authorities will process applications on a balanced basis, maintaining a one-to-one ratio along with regular ones. Application, unless there is any pending application in any category. Eligible persons will be identified through Aadhaar/PAN authentication during the application submission process.
