The Odisha government has signed MoUs with three entities to create an ecosystem for semiconductor manufacturing. The government has signed three MoUs with India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), global semiconductor giant Synopsis and Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC). Officials said that as per the agreement with IESA, the association will facilitate in developing capacity building programs and promoting the semiconductor ecosystem through conceptualization of events and knowledge content. The MoU with Summary covers O-chip programs, talent transformation, workforce development, state readiness assessment in semiconductors and more. This will include cooperation in areas such as large scale integration (VLSI) domain and internship and placement assistance to students.
