Washington: Dr Swati Nayak, an Indian scientist at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), has been named as the 2023 recipient of the prestigious Norman E Borlaug Award for Field Research and Applications, with the World Food Prize Foundation describing her as "outstanding" Is a young scientist." Ms. Nayak is the South Asia Head of Seed Systems and Product Management at IRRI in New Delhi.
