An MoU was signed between Headquarters, Integrated Defense Staff and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for technical cooperation and joint research and development in the field of defense technology in New Delhi on November 23, 2023. MoU signed between HQ IDS and CSIR. It aims to initiate collaborative interactions between CSIR Labs, HQ IDS and the Armed Forces, namely the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, to enhance scientific understanding of defense and enterprise related technologies. Both HQ IDS and CSIR have common interest in undertaking joint research and development in defense technologies for mutual benefit, in the true spirit of 'Scientific Cooperation in Support of the Indian Armed Forces'. This partnership will also accelerate indigenization efforts of the armed forces to achieve 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'.
