Chief Minister Pramod Sawant launched the Griha Aadhaar scheme and Chavath-e-Bazaar to empower housewives in Goa by providing them with financial assistance.

Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday assured to link the Griha Aadhar scheme with inflation. He said that next year there will be an increase in the amount disbursed under Griha Aadhar from Rs 1,500. Sawant said that the state government is committed to increase the happiness index. He said that due to the rise in inflation, the state government will increase the Griha Aadhar amount given to women to run their household without difficulties. The CM said that the state government gives pension to around 3 lakh citizens of the state through various schemes, including Griha Aadhar and Dayanand Social Security Scheme (DSSS), and the government will deposit money in the account of beneficiaries up to August by Friday.
