Gujarat, Kerala and Karnataka have emerged as the best-performing States in developing startup ecosystems for budding entrepreneurs, according to the ranking of States and Union Territories (UTs) by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat have been ranked as the best performers in the fourth edition of the States' Startup Ranking (2022). The ranking is based on their initiatives taken to develop the startup ecosystem for promoting budding entrepreneurs

      The ‘Best Performer’ is the top most startup ranking level, followed by the ‘Top Performer’ title.

      Telangana, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, and Rajasthan have been classified as the top-performing states.
