NHAI Unveils India's First Steel Slag Highway.

National

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has unveiled India's inaugural Steel Slag Highway on the Mumbai-Goa stretch. This pioneering road technology, introduced last Saturday, utilises steel slag, a byproduct of the steel manufacturing process, as a key component. The innovative approach aligns with the country's commitment to eco-friendly infrastructure solutions.

The Steel Slag Highway technology is recognised for its environmental benefits, contributing to sustainable road construction practices.

By repurposing steel slag in the road-building process, the NHAI aims to reduce the environmental impact associated with traditional construction materials.

This breakthrough in road construction emphasises the NHAI's dedication to adopting green and sustainable practices in the development of India's transportation infrastructure.
