DRDO performs successful flight test of India's next generation Akash missile?

India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Friday conducted a successful flight test of the New Generation AKASH (AKASH-NG) missile. The test was done at 10:30 AM from the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur, off the coast of Odisha, against a high-speed unmanned aerial target at very low altitude. The AKASH-NG missile system is state-of-the-art and possesses capability of intercepting high-speed, agile aerial threats. It has a range of around 80 km.
