GAIL Limited and Vitol Asia have signed a long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) agreement?

Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of GAIL, said the long-term deal will help bridge India’s demand and supply gap of natural gas.He added, “India is a significant and growing LNG market, and we are excited to bring LNG supply from our global LNG portfolio to meet this rising natural gas demand in India.”GAIL currently owns and operates a network of over 16,000km of natural gas pipelines on a pan-India basis and is working to develop multiple pipeline projects to better serve its customers.


      Under terms of the deal, Vitol will supply GAIL with one million metric tonnes of LNG per annum for a period of approximately 10 years. Delivery will begin in 2026.
