MCF Minister Mansukh Mandaviya launches National Policy and PRP Scheme for Pharma MedTech Sector

Mansukh Mandaviya, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers (MoC&F) launched National Policy on Research & Development and Innovation in Pharma-MedTech sector in India; and the Scheme to Promote Research and Innovation in Pharma-MedTech (PRIP) sector during an event in New Delhi. The policy aims to promote research and development (R&D) in medical devices, traditional medicines, phytopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals. The policy recognizes the need to place greater emphasis on promoting R&D through locally developed cutting-edge products and technologies with three focus areas: strengthening the regulatory framework, encouraging investment in innovation, and To develop an ecosystem that facilitates innovation.
