West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose presented 'Durga Ratna' awards on four pujas

Four Durga Puja pandals from West Bengal were honored with the Governor's 'Durga Ratna' award for the most outstanding puja pandals this year. According to a statement issued by the Governor Secretariat, the four pujas include Kalyani ITI Durga Puja in Nadia district, Tala Pratyaya Durga Puja in Kolkata, Bandhudal Sporting Club, Baranagar and Netaji Colony in North 24 Parganas district. “The Durga Ratna Award instituted by the Honorable Governor of West Bengal to recognize the most outstanding Durga Pandal, which reflects the essence of Bengaliana, is shared by four pandals of the state based on people's preferences.In addition to the cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs (which would be shared by the four winners), they will also be presented with a citation and a plaque.
