Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on a two-day visit to Jharkhand, visited Ulihatu, the birthplace of tribal hero Birsa Munda, and paid floral tributes to him on his birth anniversary.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the program organized to commemorate Tribal Pride Day, 2023 in Khunti, Jharkhand. During the programme, the Prime Minister launched the 'Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra' and the Prime Minister's Specially Vulnerable Tribal Groups Development Mission. Shri Modi laid the foundation stone of several development projects worth Rs 7200 crore in Jharkhand in various sectors like rail, road, education, coal, petroleum and natural gas and dedicated to the nation. The Prime Minister began his address today by visiting Ulihatu village, the birthplace of Lord Birsa Munda, as well as the Birsa Munda Memorial Park in Ranchi. Recalling his visit to the Freedom Fighters Museum, he also mentioned about inaugurating the Freedom Fighters Museum on the same day two years ago. He congratulated the people of Jharkhand for today's development projects in various sectors of railways, roads, education, coal, petroleum and natural gas. Shri Modi highlighted the four 'Amrit Stambh' or pillars of a developed India namely Mahila Shakti or Nari Shakti, India's food producers, the youth of the country and ultimately stressed the need to focus on India's neo-middle class and the poor.
