SEBI unveils new format for MF Scheme Information Document (SID)
Banking & Finance
Capital markets regulator SEBI has simplified the scheme information documents (SIDs) of mutual funds by implementing changes to the existing format. SEBI has provided information to mutual funds about the top 10 holdings by the issuer and fund allocation to various sectors through a functional web link and the funds invested in the scheme as part of 'skin-in' by the fund managers of the respective scheme. Directed to disclose the portfolio holdings of the scheme including total investments made. It said mutual funds would be required to appoint the board of directors of the AMC and also disclose the total investment in the scheme under other key personnel. The regulator has mandated an enabling provision for creation of separate portfolio for all new schemes and the same is clearly mentioned in the SID.
