In a battle of India's future badminton stars, Unnati Hooda defeated Samia Imad Farooqui to capture the women's singles title at the Abu Dhabi Masters 2023 yesterday. 16 year old Unnati Hooda defeated 20 year old Samia Imad Farooqui 21-16,22-20. This is her second BWF Super 100 World Tour title. She became the youngest Indian to win a BWF title last year at the age of 14. In Abu Dhabi, Unnati Hooda went into the first mid-game interval with a four-point lead. Samia Imad Farooqui reduced the deficit to one point at 16–15, but Huda took five of the next six points to take a 1–0 lead. Unnati Hooda started her campaign in the Round of 32 and won all her matches.
