According to a TransUnion CIBIL-SIDBI MSME Pulse Report, Loan disbursements to the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector in Q2 (July-September) FY23 grew 24 percent year-on-year (y-o-y), with significant growth in the micro segment.

According to a TransUnion CIBIL-SIDBI MSME Pulse Report, Loan disbursements to the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector in Q2 (July-September) FY23 grew 24 percent year-on-year (y-o-y), with significant growth in the micro segment. Micro, small and medium segments saw a growth of 54 percent, 23 percent and 8 percent in disbursements, respectively. From a longer term perspective, demand for MSME loans has accelerated and has grown to about 1.7 times the demand of two years ago. NBFC saw credit demand crossing 2 times for the same period. The top ten states based on current outstanding MSME lending balances are Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Telangana & Haryana. These top ten states constituted 72% of the MSME outstanding balance as of September 2022. Disbursements have grown by 24% y-o-y in Q2’FY23. The micro segment saw 54% growth in disbursements during the quarter compared to same period last year (Q2’ FY22). Overall, MSME NPA rates( more than 90 days past due) was 12.5% as on Sep'22 (Q2’FY23), down from 13.9% same time last year (Q2’FY22).
