Indian Army's aviation unit successfully test fired the new generation rocket and turret ammunition system from the first indigenous combat helicopter, Rudra attack helicopter. "The Indian Army first fired the new generation rocket and turret ammunition from the indigenous combat helicopter Rudra. The efficacy of the platform enhances strike capability and lethality in the mountains. The Corps Commander congratulated the aviators for their professionalism and operational preparedness."Rudra designed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to meet the requirements of the Indian Army and Air Force. And is a weaponized version of the developed Advanced Light Helicopter (Dhruv). The 5.8 tonne class multi role helicopter is powered by twin Shakti engines.
