Global Maritime India Summit 2023 PM Modi inaugurates 3rd edition and unveils 'Amrit Kaal Vision 2047'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (October 17) inaugurated the third edition of the Global Maritime India Summit (GMIS) 2023. Modi inaugurated and dedicated to the nation 21 projects worth Rs 18,800 crore during the event and unveiled Amrit Kal Vision 2047. Amrit Kal Vision 2047 is a long-term blueprint for the Indian Ocean Blue Economy that outlines strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing port facilities, focusing on sustainable practices, promoting and facilitating international cooperation. Speaking about the vision, PM Modi said, "We are moving towards a future where the blue economy will be the means to create a green planet." PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of Tuna Tekra All Weather Deep Draft Terminal. Built at Deendayal Port Authority in Gujarat at a cost of over Rs 4,500 crore.
