Google India launches 'DigiKavach' to tackle online financial fraud.

Google India has launched its flagship program, DigiKavach, an early threat detection and warning system designed to identify and study emerging financial fraud patterns. It develops and implements effective countermeasures before widespread damage is caused. Google has collaborated with The Fintech Association for Consumer Empowerment (FACE) and included them as a priority flag bearer to combat predatory digital lending apps on the Play Store in India. As a priority flag bearer, FACE will support Google with market intelligence to enable detection and take prompt action against personal loan apps in India that do not comply with Play Store policies. The announcement was made in New Delhi. The announcement was made at the 9th edition of Google for India annual event being held at Pragati Maidan.
