MENA Climate Week 2023 Saudi Arabia hosts climate events ahead of COP28 in Dubai

The first global stocktake, which will culminate at COP 28 in the UAE in December this year, provides a unique opportunity to call for decisive and inclusive change and to respond urgently to the need to accelerate progress across all areas of the Paris Agreement Is. MENA CW 2023 and all regional climate weeks provide a platform for policymakers, practitioners, businesses and civil society to exchange on climate solutions, barriers to overcome and opportunities achieved in different regions. The Weeks considers four key system-based tracks with a view to providing sector-focused contributions to inform global stocktake: Energy System and Industry Cities, urban and rural settlements, infrastructure and transportation land, ocean, food and water Society, health, livelihoods and economies
