The Navy also signed with Uber a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of R Hari Kumar, the Navy’s Chief Admiral, and senior officials of the firm. The MoU struck with Uber aims at providing reliable, safe, convenient, as well as economical mobility solutions for personal travel and commute of Naval personnel and families across the country, a senior official said.Uber is going to extend benefits to Indian Navy’s personnel as well as their families, including a personalized profile on the Uber app; a premier executive cab category offering surge price protection in peak office hours; the availability of top-rated drivers; no cancellation fee on rides besides 24×7 premium business supports, the official stated.
