China to launch Shenzhou 17 manned spacecraft to its space station on 26 October 2023

iuquan, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) China launched the Shenzhou-17 manned spacecraft on Thursday, and the three astronauts aboard will remain in orbit for about six months on a space station mission. The Long spacecraft, atop a March-2F carrier rocket, lifted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China at 11:14 a.m. Thursday (Beijing time), according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA). About 10 minutes after launch, the Shenzhou-17 spacecraft separated from the rocket and entered its intended orbit. CMSA said the crew members, including Tang Hongbo, Tang Shengji and Jiang Xinlin, were in good condition and the launch was a complete success.
