Amitav Mukherjee's tenure as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of NMDC Steel extended

The government has extended the tenure of Amitav Mukherjee as CMD of NMDC with additional charge till November 19 this year. Mukherjee is Director (Finance) in NMDC and holds the additional charge of Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of NMDC and NMDC Steel. The Steel Ministry has said that the additional charge has currently been assigned to Director (Finance) Amitav Mukherjee. NMDC Limited for a period from 01.09.2023 to 19.11.2023, i.e. till the date of completion of his tenure as Director (Finance), NMDC or till his joining as a regular functionary, or Until further orders, whichever is earlier,” the miner said in a filing.
