The Indian Army has inaugurated its first Vertical Wind Tunnel (VWT) at the Special Forces Training School in Himachal Pradesh. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to simulate real-life free-fall conditions, allowing military trainees to hone their skills. The first of its kind in the Indian Army, it will refine the Combat Free Fall (CFF) skills of the armed forces personnel by simulating various CFF scenarios. The system reduces potential instability during free-fall and parachute deployment, helping trainees adapt to free-fall conditions. The project promises faster and more accurate training results, ensuring that Special Forces are fully prepared to meet the contemporary challenges of current and future battlefields.
