SAC ISRO signs MoU with Nav Wireless Technologies for Optical Wireless Communication – LiFi

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], October 11: Ahmedabad-based Nav Wireless Technologies Pvt Ltd (NavTech), a leader in Light Fidelity (LiFi) technology, signed an MoU with Space Applications Centre, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Are. SAC, one of the premier centers of ISRO, has joined hands with NAV Wireless Technologies to use light-based high speed communication for satellite communication in space. Space agencies have begun using optical wireless technologies instead of radio frequencies for space communications. The SAC will use high-speed secure quantum key communication using light from the base station to the satellite in space and terrestrial communications. The tenure of the MoU signed between SAC/ISRO and NAV Wireless Technologies is for three years. Recommended by the Department of Telecommunications (DOT), NAV Wireless Technologies SAC is the first company in India to provide this technology to ISRO.
