3 Naga Regiment receives President's Color Award: In a proud moment for the 3rd Battalion of the Naga Regiment, also known as 3 Naga, the unit received the prestigious President's Color from Army Chief General Manoj Pandey on 13 October 2023. Awarded. It is the highest honor given to any military unit of India. The ceremony was held at the Kumaon Regimental Center (KRC) in Ranikhet and marked an important milestone in the journey of the battalion, which has been decorated with several commendations and honours. This color symbolizes the collective spirit of the battalion and "its blood-sweat bravery". Even in modern times, the color of the President is of great importance. Losing these colors to an enemy unit brings great dishonor to a unit while capturing enemy colors brings tremendous honour.
