Justice Rajendra Menon reappointed as Chairman of Armed Forces Tribunal

Justice Rajendra Menon was re-appointed as Chairman of the Armed Forces Tribunal. The tenure of appointment of Justice (Retd) Menon will be for a period of three years. Justice Menon will serve as the Chairperson of the tribunal till he attains the age of 70 years on June 6, 2027. Former Chief Justice of Delhi High Court Rajendra Menon has been re-appointed as the Chairman of the Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) for four years. The tribunal established by the Government of India deals with cases relating to persons subject to the Army Act, 1950, Navy Act. The Commission is empowered to decide or hear disputes and complaints regarding appointments, nominations and conditions of service.
